School Of Ministry

What is the School of Ministry?
A course of study provided at Christian Life International Church to cultivate and release ministry gifts in the local church. The School of Ministry will develop and equip a new generation of leaders for the advancement of the Kingdom of God through CLI in her local context.

What is the goal/purpose of the School of Ministry?
For individuals within CLI to receive training and formal ministerial credentials. Individuals have 2 credentialing options:
1) A Ministry Certificate acknowledging the individuals hard work and accomplishment.
2) A Ministry Credential (License/ Ordination) provided through CLI Church.

What are the different courses offered?
Three main courses that follow CLI's FamU semester schedule will be offered. These courses include a Theology course that covers the basics of Protestant and Pentecostal Theology, a Spiritual Formation course that allows participants to replace false narratives of who God is with truth, and a Practicum course that will give participants practical tools for various venues of ministry.

In addition to these 3 large 10-week courses, 2- week Hermeneutical courses will be taught that teach the basis of how to read and interpret the Word of God.

What are the requirements to receive the Ministry Certificate?*
1. Apply for the School of Ministry (see below)
2. Attend & participate in the Theology & Spiritual Formation course
3. Attend & participate in the Hermeneutics course
4. Complete Independent Study on one Synoptic Gospel & the Gospel of John
5. Attend an Encounter Retreat
6. Faithfully tithe to Christian Life International
7.Agree and adhere to the beliefs of our parent organization, the IPHC. These can be found here: http://iphc.org/beliefs/#

What are the requirements to receive Ministry Credentials of License or Ordination?*
1. Apply for the School of Ministry (see below)
2. Attend & participate in the Theology, Spiritual Formation, and Practicum course
3. Attend & participate in the Hermeneutics course
4. Complete Independent Study on one Synoptic Gospel & the Gospel of John
5. Complete Independent Study on one Pauline epistle (Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians) and one book of the Bible of your choice
6. Engage in an area of ministry for a minimum of 10 weeks during the Practicum course
7. Attend an Encounter Retreat
8. Be open to accountability from a Staff Pastor.
9. For ordination, a second level of courses will be offered. More information to come.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION

Part II of the School of Ministry. We will go through the book, “The Good & Beautiful God” to fall in love with the God that Jesus knew and revealed.

THEOLOGY

This class is Part I of the School of Ministry. The Theology class is Scriptural teachings concerning the great doctrines of our Faith which was birthed on the day of  Pentecost by the Holy Spirit. This class encourages us to receive and enjoy all the blessings of a rich, spiritual life in the fullness of the Holy Spirit!”
