NEW STUDY | THE HIDDEN VOICE OF SHAME
STARTING MAY 10
This class explores how shame operates as a spiritual and emotional force that creates distance in relationships. From a biblical perspective, shame is the voice of the enemy that quietly whispers lies that tell you, “you are not enough,” “you are unworthy,” or “you are not deserving of love.” These lies lead to isolation, even within the covenant of marriage.
In marriage, shame often disguises itself as anger, defensiveness, control, or silence. One spouse may feel inadequate and respond with criticism; the other may feel rejected and pull away. The unidentified voice of shame can cause spouses to emotionally withdraw from each other to protect themselves rather than pursing connection. Instead of unity, couples experience cycles of blame, misunderstanding, and distance.
The purpose of this class is to help couples cultivate a relationship rooted in the truth of God's word that will build a deeper and unbreakable connection.

NEW CLASS - SISTERS IN MINISTRY
"Sisters In Ministry" | A Study of Women in Ministry in the Letters of Paul
Join us for a 6-week series, starting May 17, of teachings that seek to discern sound biblical interpretation of 1 Corinthians 11:2–16, 1 Corinthians 14:34–35 and 1 Timothy 2:9-15! What did Paul mean when he spoke of head coverings, women keeping silent in the church and forbidding sisters from teaching? How do these teachings of Paul reconcile with other statements Paul made concerning women in ministry?
This class will offer a combination of biblical studies, application of skills and tools learned in CLI School of Ministry’s Hermeneutics class, and hearing of testimonies in growing - from denying to accepting and encouraging women in ministry! Throughout, we will draw on portions of the book “Paul, Women & Wives” by Dr. Craig Keener.Resource material for this class can be ordered here.
